Meet Estelle
Estelle was born in Lyon and grew up in St. Tropez, where food, beauty, and conviviality were a way of life. Inspired by her great-grandmother’s cooking, she began preparing meals for her family at a very young age and has been cooking professionally ever since.
At the age of twelve, she moved to the French Caribbean, St. Martin, where she lived for twelve years. There, island life deeply shaped her relationship with food — fresh fish, tropical produce, simplicity, and cooking attuned to climate, seasons, and the ocean.
Her culinary journey later took her across more than eight countries, from Europe to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Along the way, she refined a cuisine that blends technique, intuition, and cultural sensitivity.
Estelle then spent another twelve years in Anguilla, in the British Caribbean island, working as a private chef in luxury villas, mostly at the prestigious Cerulean villa. With over twenty-four years living and cooking in the Caribbean, island cooking is not a trend for her — it is home.
She has served as the former Executive Chef at The Bridge Golf Club in the Hamptons, cooked for international clients and private gatherings, has been recognized by The Culinary Institute of America as a Chef of Excellence, and was VIP and Kosher Chef at The Viceroy Hotel in Anguilla.
She is also the author of The Mermaid Chef – How to Give the Party of Your Dreams.
Now firmly rooted on Kauaʻi, Estelle offers private cheffing services inspired by the island’s abundance, simplicity, and living energy.n cooking for people for over 40 years now.
Estelle has lived in over 8 different countries and specializes in French, Thai, Middle Eastern Kosher Cuisines. She is hired by the best and flown around the world to share her culinary expertise.
Estelle now lives on the North Shore of Kauai. Her cuisine is now inspired by Hawaiian specialties and Kaua'i s seasonal trends.
When she isn’t making extraordinarily delicious food, she loves being in the sea snorkeling, swimming with other mermaids, shelling and whales watching.
